Online course on Management of Child and Adolescent Tuberculosis
We are excited to announce a new free online course and teaching materials for trainers
The Online course on Management of Child and Adolescent Tuberculosis and the Resources for trainers on Management of Child and Adolescent Tuberculosis are aimed at helping healthcare providers/participants apply learned concepts to improve the management and care of children and adolescents with presumptive and diagnosed TB in their work settings, especially at primary and secondary levels of health services.
Who is the course aimed at?
The target audience of this course is healthcare workers and trainers in resource-limited and high TB burden settings involved in TB management and child and adolescent TB or child and adolescent health in general.
What is the format of this course?
The Online Course on Management of Child and Adolescent Tuberculosis is an asynchronous course, which means that participants will learn at their own pace through our Union Online Courses Platform.
We also offer a comprehensive set of downloadable resources specifically tailored for National TB Programme (NTP) and other trainers who wish to roll out domestic training.
The resources include:
- A detailed facilitator manual
- Slide presentations including transcript notes
- Tools to enhance training skills, such as guidance on implementing the TeachBack approach
- Case studies, role plays, job aids and practical exercises designed to align with the course’s objectives
This package is aligned with the most recent international guidance in child and adolescent TB and we encourage trainers to adapt the materials, where appropriate, to their settings and national guidelines.
