2026 Family Engagement in Research course applications are now open!
Starting August 2026, the Healthy Trajectories team is excited to offer an Australian cohort of the Family Engagement in Research (FER) Course for researchers, clinician-researchers and family engagement partners.
Since 2018, this popular CanChild FER Course, offered through McMaster University, has equipped researchers and family members from 18 countries with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to partner together in child and youth health and disability research.
Course Dates and Fees
The FER Course is a McMaster University certified 10-week online program that teaches the principles of FER and includes discussions about the practical side of research partnerships.
Course dates: 24 August to 15 November 2026
Course breaks for school holidays between 21 September to 4 October 2026
Fees:
· 1 Researcher or clinician: $750
· 1 Person with lived experience: $250*
· 1 Research or clinician + 1 person with lived experience: $900
*Full scholarships are available for people with lived experience who are not connected with a research team. More information available in the brochure (plain text brochure)
