Management of tuberculosis in children and adolescents for health care workers

Published on December 5, 2023

Despite being a preventable and curable disease, tuberculosis is a leading cause of illness and death among children and adolescents. Over one million children and adolescents become infected with tuberculosis each year.

Prof Steve Graham and his team had the pleasure of creating content for the World Health Organization's free online e-learning course on the management of TB in children and adolescents. This self-paced online course is based on the WHO's operational tuberculosis handbook.

The importance of health care workers in preventing, identifying, and managing tuberculosis in children and adolescents cannot be overstated. Participants who complete this 2.5-hour course and receive an 80% or higher on the final assessment can download a Certificate of Achievement.
