Leadership in Learning Health System 2023

Published on November 21, 2023

In collaboration with Melbourne Children’s Global Health, the Paediatric Academy recently concluded the Leadership in Learning Health System Program. This initiative engaged 20 international senior leaders in paediatrics from Fiji, Vanuatu, Laos, Vietnam and Indonesia.

The goal of the Program is to nurture leadership capacity for Learning Health Systems in the Indo-Pacific, ultimately contributing to the establishment of stronger healthcare leaders, fostering a culture of continuous improvement in healthcare delivery.

The Program featured active learning aimed at stimulating transformative shifts in thinking and behavior in Learning Health System, a dynamic Implementation Research Symposium, Observerships at over 10 RCH Departments and Mentoring sessions with local experts.

The two weeks passed swiftly, brimming with energy, enthusiasm, open-mindedness, and a wealth of inspiration and wisdom from our Indo-Pacific leaders.

We extend our gratitude to all the presenters, mentors, clinical departments and staff who generously shared their knowledge and experiences.

Through the Paediatric Academy's community of practice, the program continues to foster meaningful connections, build regional leadership capacity and provide ongoing support for the implementation of local initiatives.

This is how we learn together...
